This Privacy Policy applies to Soshimedia, a social media content creation and scheduling platform operated by Soshimedia. By using Soshimedia, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

1. Who We Are

Soshimedia ("we," "us," or "our") is an AI-powered social media marketing automation tool that helps small and medium-sized businesses create, schedule, and publish content to social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.

Our service is operated by Soshimedia. Questions about this policy may be directed to soshimedia.com/contact.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you create an account with Soshimedia, we collect:

  • Name and email address
  • Business name and website URL
  • Password authentication data stored securely by our authentication provider

2.2 Business and Brand Information

To generate marketing content, we collect business information you provide or that we scan from your website, including business descriptions, brand voice, target audience details, product information, prices, images, and website content retrieved through automated scanning tools.

2.3 Social Media Account Data

When you connect a social media account to Soshimedia via OAuth, we receive and store the platform username or account ID, access tokens needed to publish on your behalf, basic profile information returned by the platform, and post performance data for analytics.

We request only the permissions needed to provide the service. You can revoke access at any time through your social media account settings or from within Soshimedia.

2.4 Generated Content and Usage Data

Content created using Soshimedia—including captions, hashtags, image prompts, generated visuals, scheduled posts, and edits—is stored in your account so you can access, edit, manage, and publish it. We also collect technical information such as log data, browser type, device type, pages visited, timestamps, and cookies needed to keep the service secure and reliable.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve Soshimedia
  • Generate AI-powered marketing content tailored to your business
  • Schedule and publish posts to connected social media accounts on your behalf
  • Display analytics and performance data from your social media accounts
  • Send transactional emails about account activity, posting status, and connection health
  • Diagnose technical problems, prevent abuse, and maintain service security
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your business content or brand information to train AI models without your explicit consent.

4. Third-Party Services We Use

Soshimedia integrates with third-party services to provide authentication, data storage, AI-assisted content generation, website scanning, social media publishing, analytics, payment processing, and email delivery. These providers process information only as needed to deliver the service and are subject to their own privacy and security obligations.

When you connect a social media platform, your use of that platform remains subject to its own terms and privacy policy. Soshimedia accesses only the data and permissions you authorize during the OAuth connection process.

5. Social Media Platform Data

5.1 Meta (Facebook and Instagram)

When you connect a Facebook Page or Instagram Business account, we access and store the page or account ID, access token, and related publishing and analytics data needed to publish posts and retrieve engagement metrics on your behalf.

5.2 TikTok

When you connect a TikTok account, we access your basic account information and the ability to publish video or image content on your behalf according to the scopes you authorize. We do not access private messages, follower lists, or data beyond what is required to provide the connected feature.

5.3 LinkedIn

When you connect a LinkedIn account or Company Page, we access profile, page, publishing, and analytics information as authorized. We do not access LinkedIn messages or unrelated account data.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored using secure cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest. Social media access tokens are protected and are never exposed in client-side code or public API responses. While no system is completely secure, we use reasonable safeguards to protect your information and encourage you to use strong, unique credentials.

7. Data Retention

We retain data for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations:

  • Account data is retained while your account is active and for a limited period after deletion.
  • Generated content and scheduled posts are retained until you delete them or close your account.
  • Social media access tokens are retained until you disconnect the account or the token expires.
  • Analytics data may be retained for trend analysis and reporting.
  • Security and diagnostic logs are retained for a limited operational period.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, object to, or withdraw consent for certain personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us through soshimedia.com/contact. We will respond within a reasonable period and in accordance with applicable law.

9. Cookies

Soshimedia uses cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session, remember preferences, improve the service, and protect accounts. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling essential cookies may prevent some features from working.

10. Children’s Privacy

Soshimedia is intended for adults and business users. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction. If we learn that we have collected such data, we will delete it promptly.

11. International Data Transfers

Our service is operated from the United States. If you access Soshimedia from outside the United States, your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
